Description
Stencils are used to press beautiful patterns and textures into your polymer clay.
Directions for use:
- Condition your polymer clay and roll into a slab.
- Place the stencil sheet on your polymer clay slab, pressing down on it lightly to secure it in place. Make sure the stencil does not move around.
- Use a clay roller to roll the stencil into the clay until the entire surface of the stencil has been pressed into the clay slightly to leave an imprint. You can also roll your slab through a clay or pasta machine at the same thickness as your slab, but this method might cause the your clay to warp a little and may not produce a crisp imprint.
- You can use mica power, acrylic paint or crushed soft pastels to apply colour to the clay exposed through the stencil.
- Peel the stencil away carefully to reveal the pattern left on the clay.
These stencils can be used with other soft mediums such are air-dry clay. Their results have only been tested by Paroozle on polymer clay.
